THE CLASS OF 1964 TERM PROFESSORSHIP

Funded by the Class of 1964, this professorship recognizes and celebrates the importance of the student-faculty relationship both today and throughout Skidmore’s history. The Class of 1964 Term Professor will have a distinguished record of scholarship and teaching and will have contributed in substantial ways to the College. Candidates are eligible from all academic disciplines. Holders of the Class of 1964 Term Professorship will be expected to offer institutional leadership and to interact closely with the Office of Advancement and members of the Class of 1964 for events on and off campus over the tenure of the appointment. Members of the faculty will address nominations to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, who will consult with the Dean of the Faculty, the Committee on Appointments, Promotions, and Tenure, the Department, and, when applicable, the Program concerned, in making a recommendation.
