The Office of Academic Advising oversees Skidmore’s faculty-based academic advising system and participates in reviewing and reporting student academic status. The office is committed to fostering strong academic standards while at the same time offering academic support, special academic opportunities, and guidance for all students. The Academic Advising staff are involved in many of the faculty's academic processes and committees and offer assistance in developing and implementing academic policies, curricular goals, and advising resources. We also collaborate with other offices to provide support services for students and handle academic problems or dispute resolution, and address interactions among faculty, students, and parents.
