Class of 1958 and 1959

The class of 1958 holds the very first American Studies degree graduate. At this time, American Studies was a 'program' and not a department. It would not be given departmental status until 1967 and the graduates of 1967 held the first American Studies degrees from the American Studies Department at Skidmore.
