What is the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund provides vital support to Skidmore.  Every dollar is put to immediate use to ensure that Skidmore is able to attract a highly qualified and diverse student body, recruit and retain the best faculty, and provide and maintain the best facilities possible for academics, the arts, and athletics.

The comprehensive fee paid per student does not cover the actual cost to educate each student.  The Annual Fund provides every student -- past, current, and future -- with a "silent scholarship" to make up the gap.

Why give to the Annual Fund?

• The Annual Fund allows alumni, parents or friends to make an immediate impact on current students, faculty, and staff. 
• Annual Fund alumni participation is a frequently used factor by college review publications and by corporations and foundations. 
  Your alumni dollars bring additional prestige and support critical to the College's success.
• Skidmore's $288 million endowment would need to grow by an additional $128 million in order to earn the same $6.4 million that the Annual Fund hopes to raise this year.
