• Today, there are just over 30,000 people in the world who care about Skidmore students and the College’s future.  These are the alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff, and students who understand how powerful a Skidmore education is – and want to see these opportunities continue to grow and flourish. 
  
  
• Your gift is a good investment and makes an immediate impact on the life of a Skidmore student.
  
  
• Every gift – large and small – makes a difference when pooled together.  Last year, more than 6,000 alumni made gifts of less than $100 – together, these gifts provided the resources for 12 scholarships. 
  
  
• Skidmore students go out and change the world – they have a positive impact on society.  Your gift enhances the College’s ability to transform these student's lives and they will then have a meaningful impact on the world at large. 
  
  
• A $100 gift to the Annual Fund provides the same income as an additional $20,000 in endowment.  Skidmore’s endowment would need to grow by $120 million to earn the same $6 million that the Annual Fund hopes to raise this year.
  
  
• You and every student received a “silent scholarship” that makes up the gap between the comprehensive fee and the actual cost to educate each student.  Today, this gap is more than $12,000.  Your “silent scholarship” was provided by the alumni who came before you – now it is your turn to make a difference.
