• Society for American Archaeology -- The Society for American Archaeology is an online information center for American archaeologists. On the website, information about jobs in archaeology, upcoming events, government affairs, and education can be found.
• Siftings  -- Siftings is a database of news, announcements, and documents concerning archaeology.
  
• The New York State Archaeological Association (NYSAA)  -- NYSAA is a non-profit organization composed of people interested in various phases of archaeology in New York State. The site contains information about current archeological news in New York State and publications.

Museums:

• New York State Museum  -- The New York State Museum, located in Albany, New York, houses more than five million artifacts and specimens, including the Anthropological Survey. Within this collection are objects from historic and prehistoric periods in New York State. The State's anthropological collections are curated here, the State's repository for archaeological materials as required under State law and federal regulation.
• American Archaeology Division, Museum of Anthropology  -- This is a site that offers curation services for anyone in need.
  
• Iroquois Indian Museum -- The Iroquois Indian Museum of Howes Cave, New York introduces the public to the Iroquois by featuring Iroquoian art, past and present, as a window into their culture. As an anthropological institution, it is informed by archaeology, history, and research on the common creative spirit of modern artists and craftspeople.

• Billings Curation Center -- Interesting site with information about curation and collections.
• Archaeological Preservation Research Laboratory of Texas A&M -- The Archaeological Preservation Research Laboratory (APRL) is a research laboratory within the Texas A&M University (TAMU) Department of Anthropology, which works closely with both the Anthropology Department and the TAMU Nautical Archaeology Program. Research at the APRL facilities has been directed towards the development of new processes for the stabilization and conservation of organic artifacts.
• ArchNet: Virtual Archaeology Library/Archaeological Research Institute  -- ArchNet is the most comprehensive virtual archaeological research library housed at Arizona State University. The Library is the foremost virtual information source for Archaeology on the World Wide Web. All information is categorized by region and subject. Within the site one can access journals, museums, academic institutions, regional studies, and current news.
• The National Parks Service Links to the Past - Archaeology  -- The National Parks Service provides a national bank of information about archaeological resources. From The Antiquities Act of 1906 to archaeological excavations in National Parks, this site gives a thorough view of archaeology on national perspective.
• Cultural Resource Management  -- This is an online version of the scholarly journal published by the National Parks Service. On the website are all of the articles from the current and previous issues, include their archives.
• Public Archaeology Facility (PAF) at Binghamton University-SUNY == PAF is a research center at Binghamton Univeristy, specializing in Cultural Resource Management. The website explores many New York State sites, public outreach programs, and research projects.
• Bard College Mid Hudson Valley Archaeology  -- Addresses all issues of mid-Hudson Valley Archaeology.
• Council for Northeast Historical Archaeology  -- The Council for Northeast Historical Archaeology is a non-profit organization dedicated to Archaeological scholarship, advancements of collections, and preservation.
• Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation  -- The mission of the Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (OAHP) is to help individuals, communities, and organizations to identify, protect, and preserve the State's cultural resources and to foster widespread appreciation of and respect for Colorado's cultural heritage.
• University of Texas Center for Archaeological Research -- The Center for Archaeological Research (CAR) of The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) has the facilities for curating archaeological records and collections. CAR is an Authorized Curating Repository (ACR) as defined in the Council of Texas Archaeologists, Guidelines for Curation Standards and Procedures (1985) and an approved repository by the Texas Historical Commission.
• Park Service Guide to Managing Collections -- This online technical assistance and distance learning effort covers all aspects of caring for archeological collections -- the activities dealing with all kinds of archeological collections (i.e., objects, records, reports, and digital data) in all kinds of places (i.e., the field, the archeologist's office, the lab, and the repository.) Another word for this range of activities is "curating" or "curation", which you will find a lot more about in this site.
  
• Publications Museum Management Program -- This website is a guide to museum management which includes access to museum handbooks on records and collections.

Archaeological Sites:

• Five Points Site -- Official website for the Five Points Site located in New York City characterized as a center of "vice and debauchery" during the nineteenth century. The site was excavated in 1991.
• Goat Island Rockshelter -- The Goat Island Rockshelter is located between the Hudson River and Tickling North Bay in Northern Dutchess County, New York. First excavated in 1939, the sites contained artifacts from both prehistoric and historic occupations. Artifacts included debitage, projectile points, ceramics, faunal remains, and many cultural features.
• Old Fort Niagara  -- Located minutes from Niagara Falls, Old Fort Niagara was a site of historic battles and sieges, and trading and conquest. Preserved as they stood in the 1700's when France and Britain controlled Niagara, the Fort's structures include the oldest building in the Great Lakes.
• The Schuyler Flats -- Historic archaeological site on the Hudson River.
• West Point Foundry at Cold Spring  -- Historic structure and site located in Cold Spring, NY.
• Lott House  -- One of the last standing Dutch-American farmhouses in New York City where field schools occur annually.
• The Thomas/Luckey Site  -- Late Woodland site located in Ashland, NY, excavated by the Community Archaeology Program at SUNY Binghamton.
