Equipment

An Olympus BX60 research light microscope, equipped with DIC, fluorescence and phase optics; a SONY RM-C950 high resolution video camera system and PVM-1953-MD monitor; a SONY UP-1800MD color video printer; and an Olympus DP70

An Olympus BH2 light microscope, equipped with DIC and fluorescence optics; an Olympus MF200W7 Microflash system; Optronics DEI-470 high resolution camera with a SONY PVM-1353MD color monitor; a Panasonic PV 4601 VCR; and and Olympus PMCBSD automated camera system

An Olympus IX-70 inverted light microscope (brightfield, phase, and fluorescence optics), equipped with a SONY RM-C950 high resolution video camera. The system is connected to a Dell computer equipped with Image Pro Plus image analysis software. This microscope station also has a Narashige MN151 micromanipulator and an IM 300 microinjector system attached, for critical single-cell work. A Narashige PC-10 pipette puller is available for making micropipettes for microinjections and micro-physiology experiments.
