Intercultural Center (ICC)

The Intercultural Center in Case Center provides a program of co-curricular activities that welcomes, acknowledges, and celebrates diverse traditions. The center offers a visual presence and an annual calendar of programs, seminars, workshops, and exhibits that support academic programs and faculty whose teaching and scholarship is concerned broadly with diversity. The Intercultural Center is a common meeting place for such student organizations as the Asian Cultural Awareness, ISU, Raices, SOAR, Skidmore Pride Alliance, Ujima, Hillel, and Christian Fellowship. Connected both to the Office of Student Diversity Programs and the Office of the Chaplain, the Intercultural Center also serves as a meeting and programming center for interfaith activities. The Intercultural Center promotes an intercultural exchange of ideas and traditions among students, faculty, and staff that leads to a greater understanding of one's citizenship in a global community.

The Intercultural Center is located on the second floor of Case Center, across from the Faculty-Staff Club.

ICC Library

OSDP oversees the ICC Library. Thanks to funding from SGA and donations, the ICC has a library of books and DVD’s that can be checked out. Students, Staff, or Faculty who want to check out materials from the library must have a valid Skidmore ID and will need to return the materials within two weeks.
The ICC has also collected a number of textbooks through donations. Often times these text books can be used in current courses. Students are welcome to stop by the ICC to browse the book collection. Students who want to check out textbooks from the library must have a valid student ID and will need to return the book(s) at the end of the semester.
