This is truly a once in a life time experience!One of the best ways of making the transition to college life is through participation in one of the many Pre-Orientation Programs that Skidmore offers first-year students. Whether its hiking in the Adirondacks, creating sculpture or doing community service, there are many ways to meet students with similar interests and goals. Below is a list of the ways new students can connect with one another and with the college experience participation in Pre-O is optional, and takes place just before Orientation for all first-year students. A limited number of scholarships are available for high-need students on a first-come, first-served basis beginning June 1st, 2011. Students may receive up to 50% off the program fee. If you would like to apply for a pre-orientation program scholarship, simply send your request as an email message to Mary Ann Toia, mtoia@skidmore.edu with the subject being Pre-O Scholarship request. Please include you child's name and program request with a phone number and email address. All scholarship applicants should register for their desired program in order to reserve your place in the program. If you do not receive a scholarship award, you may withdraw from the program without penalty as long as you withdraw by July 1, 2011.
