Eastern College Career Day - Boston
Seniors will have the opportunity to interview with Boston/New England employers for jobs in fields like Accounting, Education (certification not required!), Law, Marketing, Sales, Economics Research, Consulting, Banking, Investments, Technology, and Mental Health/Human Services, and more.
Most of the employers will be from the Boston area, although a couple are typically from other parts of the Northeastern section of the U.S. including NYC.

To Register:
Click on Register on the bottom left of the page under Student: Self-Register and check back daily/periodically as new employers are added. Here you can apply (submit resume and/or cover letters) to up to 13 companies of interest to you. Employers will make decisions and notify you online via email.
Once you are registered, you can retrieve a list of employers by hitting the search button under "Jobs and Internships" on the ECCD site.
Please note that in order to officially apply for specific interviews you must click on the individual jobs which interest you within the ECCD site, click on the "Apply" button at the bottom of the page and forward all the documents mentioned in the "Application Materials Required" section of each job description. You will need to click on Documents at the top of the page and upload documents prior to clicking on "apply".
Applications:
- You can apply online for up to 13 half-hour interview slots.
- You must customize your cover letters for each opportunity; don't rely on one generic cover letter if you are applying to various fields of interest.
- Employers will choose their candidates based on the strength of the cover letters and resumes (and any other required documents you submit).
Interview Sign-Up:
- Candidates will be notified by email by if they are selected for interviews.
- Selected candidates must log back into the system to select their interview times.
Some employers require transcripts, writing samples or other documents. You will find these requirements in the "How to Apply" section of the job description.
To upload your transcript:
Option 1
- Login into your Student Account and print an unofficial copy of your transcript, scan it (Media Services) and save the file a Word document, RTF file, or PDF file.
Option 2
- Click on Registrar on the Skidmore home page
- Click on the Current Students Tab
- Login into your Student Account
- Click on College Connection
- Click on Request Degree Audit
- Click Submit Request
- When Your Degree Audit is available (2 - 4 minutes after you request it), copy the entire document and paste in a Word file.
- Clean up the document (there will be extra formatting) and Save as a Word document.
You can then click on "Documents" in the ECCD Boston system and under "Upload Documents", choose "Other Documents". You can see an example under "Sample Documents" on the upload page.
Please Note: You will not be able to upload your Unofficial Transcript PDF file from the Registrar's Office because of the security settings in the document.
