Networking

One way to learn about the multitude of options for particular majors is to see what Skidmore graduates are doing professionally and to interview them about how they're "Living the Liberal Arts." While you will find alumni working in fields that seem obviously connected to their Skidmore major, you will soon find many more who are in professions that might not seem related on the surface, but definitely utilize skills developed within their discipline and co-curricular Skidmore experiences.

The Skidmore College Career Services Office maintains a dynamic Career Network of about 2000 alumni and parents (alumni are searchable by Skidmore major) who have volunteered to answer career development and internship or job search questions from Skidmore students and grads. The Career Network is password protected (Need a Password?). Please carefully review the User Guidelines for the protocols before utilizing this amazing resource. See also our link to sites for making additional Skidmore Connections.
