Study Skills - Taking Notes
One of the principal changes in studying subjects at college rather than at high school is the extent to which you are expected to take your own notes from classroom lectures and discussions, meetings with instructors, books, articles and research resources. These notes will form the basis of all your work: it is from them that you will prepare essays, devise classroom presentations and study for exams. Taking good notes is an essential skill for the Skidmore Classics student to develop, a skill which will prove equally useful after you graduate as almost all jobs demand the ability to process and assess a mass of information quickly.
