Skidmore College benefits immensely from being located in Saratoga Springs.  Whether it’s prospective students and their parents visiting Skidmore for the first time; graduates returning for Alumni Reunion; current students who reside here; or families of Skidmore students traveling to campus for Family Weekend or Commencement, the assessment is universal – the charming and vibrant city of Saratoga Springs and the attributes of the entire region provide a quality of life that is hard to beat.  With a location like this, Skidmore is the envy of many of its peers.

At the same time, Saratoga Springs and the surrounding area benefit from the presence of Skidmore College, which has a powerful impact on the economy, cultural offerings, and volunteer sector of the region.  Since its founding in 1903, Skidmore has been actively engaged in the life of the community.  The College and the region have grown and flourished together, intertwined in a mutually beneficial relationship.
