About 'Creative Thought at Work'
At Skidmore, we aim to graduate students who can think deeply and creatively, communicate well and act effectively. We ask our students to link theoretical and practical learning, and to develop intercultural understanding and an appreciation of their roles as global citizens.
These goals emerge from our collective sense of a Skidmore education as a transformative experience: we want our graduates to possess both knowledge and capacities that enable them to embrace change and apply their learning lifelong in new contexts.
On this site, we invite alumni to describe how the academic journeys they traveled at Skidmore have served them in their careers that followed.
If you’re a Skidmore student or prospective student, we hope you find these reflections to be helpful or inspiring in planning your own journey.
If you’re a Skidmore alumna or alumnus, we invite you to connect as best you can with the person you were however many years ago when you came to Skidmore, and to describe the changes, revelations, and successes that followed. Please tell us your story.
The Creative Thought at Work web site is developed and maintained collaboratively by the following Skidmore College departments: Alumni Affairs, Career Development Center, First-Year Experience, Admissions and Communications. We appreciate also the support we receive from the Skidmore Alumni Association and Skidmore Business Network. For more information about this site, please call or write the Office of Communications.
