
Application for Career Assistance Funds
The purpose of this fund is to help defray career related expenses as Skidmore Alumni negotiate transitions in their career resulting from the economic crisis of 2008-2009.
What will be funded:
- Premium business membership on LinkedIn
- Travel costs associated with interviews or attendance at recruiting or networking events
- Interview clothing
- Professional conference fees
- Seminars to develop career-related skills
- Graduate school testing and test preparation fees
- Application fees for graduate school
- Requests for funding other expenses related to job search will be considered
Amount of award: Up to $200.00 to cover travel, clothing, food (excluding alcoholic beverages), and other expenses. (You will need to collect receipts and turn them in to Career Services).
Eligibility requirements: Alumni with financial need who have been laid off or who have a scheduled layoff will be eligible.
Process: Alumni complete the application. Alumni Affairs will review the application and notify you of your award. Carry out and pay for the associated career activity. Mail or fax a receipt to the Office of Alumni Affairs and College Events. Payment will be forwarded to you.
