"We became one large family, students and professors, as we ate together and traveled together. Besides field lectures, we took two long weekend camping trips as well as informal activities on the weekends. Weekend trips included walks to fig trees, tree plantings, a nearby dairy farm and cheese factory, a trip in town for the monthly markets, a birds of prey show, a trip to see and feed rock wallabies (small kangaroos), swimming in crater lakes, and a waterfall tour." -Erin Kenison '09
