Description:
Saratoga Reads and Empire State College will present a screening of the HBO documentary "Unchained Memories: Readings from Slave Narratives," followed by a discussion led by ESC faculty. The film features transcribed "slave narratives" from the 1930s, read by a host of distinguished performers and narrated by Whoopi Goldberg. The screening is part of the events related to this year's Saratoga Reads book of choice, "Twelve Years a Slave" by Solomon Northup.
