I am pleased to announce an unusual opportunity to hear a Zen teacher speak at Skidmore College. Please mark your calendars and join us for: Konrad Ryushin Marchaj, Sensei, Abbot of Zen Mountain Monastery, Mainhouse of the Mountain and Rivers Order of Zen Buddhism. His talk is titled "Zen Buddhism and the Anxiety of Modernity: the Practice of Meditation," scheduled for Monday, April 12, 2010 in Gannett Auditorium from 7 p.m. to 8:15 pm. For those interested, a Meditation Session will be held immediately following the talk at Wilson Chapel from 8:30 - 9:00 pm. The event is sponsored by the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, the Department of Religion, and Asian Studies.
