Composed in 1890 by 22-year-old Amy Beach, Grand Mass in E Flat is a romantic-style piece in ten movements that will be performed by the Burnt Hills Oratorio Society in traditional Latin mass language. The concert will be preceded by a lecture at 2 p.m. by Virginia Eskin, which will include a recital of the life of Amy Beach in addition to an analysis of her works. Directed by BHOS Artistic Director Susan Heermance-Fedak. $20 general admission, $5 Skidmore students Ticket includes price of lecture.
