Visiting Artist Lecture by Emilie Clark
Location: Filene Music Building:
Time: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Starting in 2003 Emilie Clark has inserted herself into the works and lives of Victorian women scientists and naturalists such as Mary Ward, Mary Treat, Martha Maxwell, and Ellen Henrietta Richards. Clark’s art practice involves painting, drawing, archival research and writing, installation and sculpture. Treating her art studio as a laboratory, Clark literally restages much of the research these women undertook. Emilie Clark will be on campus teaching from July 8-12 as part of; The Drawing Project, a studio art course.
