$20 shuttles to and from the Albany International Airport for Spring break available at the Leadership Activities Office on the 2nd floor of Case Center. There is also a ride board available at this site.

Log into the system

  1. Go to http://cmsauthor.skidmore.edu/news/admin/
  2. Enter your Skidmore Username and Password.
  3. Click OK.

To Create a New Announcment

  1. Click Announcements from the list provided
  2. Click Create New Announcement button
  3. Fill out the form
    • Headline: The title of the announcement.
    • Web Address: Include a web address (URL) if you want the announcement to include a link to another site (such as the dining services site). This is optional.
    • Short Description: The text for the announcement. There is a character limit of 450 characters and the count will appear as you type.
  4. Click On to Step 2>>
  5. Set the display, priority, start date, and end date for your announcement.
    • Display: Set to 'yes' if you want the announcement to show up. Set to 'no' if it needs to be hidden.
    • Priority: Level of urgency. If set to '1', the announcement will appear at the top of the announcements on the page.
    • Start date: The date you want the announcement to show on the site. You can set up announcements to show up on a specific date. On the morning of that date, the announcement will automatically appear without you having to manually turn it on.
    • End date: The date you want the announcement to stop showing on the site. You can set up announcements to hide at a set date. When it is the morning of the date set, the announcement will automatically disappear without you having to do anything manually.
  6. Click Submit

To Edit an Existing Announcment

  1. Click Announcements from the list provided
  2. Find the Announcment in the list at the bottom of the page.
  3. Click Edit
  4. Make any changes within the form
    • Headline: The title of the announcement.
    • Web Address: Include a web address (URL) if you want the announcement to include a link to another site (such as the dining services site). This is optional.
    • Short Description: The text for the announcement. There is a character limit of 450 characters and the count will appear as you type.
  5. If all you are doing is changing content, then click Quick Submit—this will skip the page that sets the display, start date, etc. Otherwise, to adjust the display settings, select Click On to Step 2>>
