Student Representatives
One of the hallmarks of the Honors Forum is the degree of student involvement in the policy-making and planning for the Forum. Student representatives of the Honors Forum are selected annually by the director and Executive Committee. These students will be members in good standing, will represent the Forum on the Honors Council and the Academic Council, and will have the following responsibilities in conjunction with the Council:
- plan and publicize co-curricular events: receptions, faculty-student discussions, study nights, trips and informal get-togethers
- coordinate co-sponsorship of events with SGA and college clubs and organizations, and the Offices of Admissions and of Alumni Affairs
- make themselves available for students to come to and discuss Forum-related issues
- participate in the coordination of the annual spring induction dinner
- maintain the Honors Forum Newsletter
- represent the Forum during Prospective and Accepted Candidates Days
- participate in the coordination of Academic Festival
