In September 2005, President Philip A. Glotzbach convened the Intercultural and Global Understanding Task Force. The overall purpose of the Task Force is to advise the President in leading the College to refine objectives and develop initiatives that will enable the College to realize Goal II of the Strategic Plan, which provides:

We will challenge every Skidmore student to develop the intercultural understanding and global awareness necessary to thrive in the complex and increasingly interconnected world of the 21st Century.

Through this web site, the Task Force intends to keep the community apprised of its activities. We encourage community members to participate in conversations about this important topic, and we welcome your thoughts at any time.
