Account Closures

Students

Withdrawals: The registrar notifies the help desk as soon as students withdraw from Skidmore College. Then the help desk sends an email notice that the student's account will be closed in 2 weeks.

Alumni: Email accounts are maintained for as long as Microsoft continues to provide our mail service. Your login and primary address will change to username@alumni.skidmore.edu but your previous address, username@skidmore.edu will also continue to deliver email to your Inbox.

Beginning with Class 2010, an new, empty account was setup on outlook.com and both the alumni address and the regular address deliver to that Inbox.

Beginning with Class 2011, all mail will be transferred to the alumni server on outlook.com sometime after graduation.
