Lucy Scribner Library Renovation

As you can see, we are well underway with the Scribner Library renovation work.  This project has multiple phases that will be competed the coming two years.  The first phases of the renovation taking place this summer and into the fall semester include:

New home of Media Services, lower level.

Complete renovation of the Writing Center, fourth floor.

Twelve new individual study rooms, fourth floor.

Connector building between the IT area below the covered walkway and the ground floor of the Library.

The work on the fourth floor will be completed for the start of the Fall 2011 semester.  The work on the new Media Services will be finished during the 2011-2012 academic year.  We are excited about this project to enhance the beautiful Scribner Library.  At the heart of this renovation is increasing the seating capacity for students including more individual and group study rooms.  We will also bring IT services critical for students and faculty into the Library such as Media Services, the GIS Center, and the Instructional Technology Center.

We invite you to keep up with our progress at the following website we have created:

Justin Sipher – Chief Technology Officer
Ruth Copans – College Librarian
