Honors

To be eligible for departmental honors, a student must (1) attain a major GPA of 3.60 or higher, and an accumulative GPA of 3.0; (2) complete MB 349  with a grade of A- or higher; (3) complete a research-based thesis or comprehensive case study and teaching note; (4) earn an A- or higher on the completed project; (5) present their research to department faculty; and (6) follow each of the following steps in the thesis/honors process:

• identify the topic of interest;
• seek out a faculty member in the department to serve as the honors advisor;
• get the project approved and signed by the thesis advisor and department chair;
• register for and complete

    in the Fall and
  MB 374
    in the Spring with a grade of A- or higher in both semesters;
• participate to the fullest extent throughout the project’s completion.
