Holiday schedule changes announced

Skidmore's art venues have announced 2009 holiday schedules.

The Schick Art Gallery will be closed for Thanksgiving break from Wednesday through Sunday, Nov. 25 to 29, and reopen Monday, Nov. 30.

The final day of the Schick Art Gallery's current exhibition, which features works by Skidmore's art faculty, is Sunday, Dec. 6. The gallery will reopen Tuesday, Feb. 9, with a public reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. celebrating the opening of the 2010 Skidmore Student Exhibition. Regular hours (September through May) at the gallery are as follows:  9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday–Friday, and 1 to 4:30 p.m. on weekends. For more information call 518-580-5049.

The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26, and Friday, Nov. 27, resuming its regular schedule Saturday, Nov. 28.

For the December holidays, the museum will be closed Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24 and 25, and will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 26 and 27.  The Tang will be closed from Monday, Dec. 28, through Friday, Jan. 1, and will resume its regular schedule starting Saturday, Jan. 2.

The Tang Museum's regular hours are as follows: open Tuesday–Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.; closed Mondays.
