Spanish Composition and Conversation I
This course is designed to help students maximize to the fullest their language improvement during their stay in Spain. Literary and journalistic texts are used to study closely Spanish stylistics, to build vocabulary, idiom usage and proper syntax. There is a general grammar review with special attention paid to the structures and morphology most difficult for English speakers. An emphasis is placed on improving written and oral expression and tutorial help is made available for individualized support in the learning process. Video material is used to measure comprehension periodically and the taped newscasts and newspaper articles focus student attention on both common usage as well as current events.
