Shakespeare's birthplace in Stratford

The Shakespeare Programme, run in conjunction with the British American Drama Academy (BADA), gives students the unique opportunity to study Shakespeare, English literature, and theater in London and Stratford-Upon-Avon, where students will find a wealth of resources within the field of professional theater.

The program builds on its distinctive relationship with the prestigious Shakespeare Institute of the University of Birmingham as well as BADA’s established relationship with the finest artists of the British stage. This program, offered for the fall semester only, brings together students who are studying English and drama/theater studies, enabling those with literary training and those with practical skills to learn from each other while experiencing the full range of British theater firsthand.

“…The Shakespeare Programme has been remarkably successful in efforts to offer American students an academically rigorous program in theatre and English which also offers conservatory training in performance. We are very proud of the fact that our students continue to come from some of the finest colleges and universities in the country…” -- Professor Lary Opitz, Skidmore College Professor of Theater
