![]() The Program The Skidmore in Alcalá program is run in conjunction with Tufts University and is offered for the fall or spring semesters. This challenging program is designed for students with an advanced knowledge of Spanish and strives to integrate students into the life of Alcalá through courses at the University of Alcalá de Henares (UAH), the experience of a family stay, and an emphasis on involvement in the cultural and social life of Alcalá. At the UAH, participants join native Spanish students in their courses. Students also take one required course at the Program Center in Madrid. Internships are also available for qualified full-year students. On-Site Support The Skidmore in Alcalá program offers our students support both in Alcalá and in Madrid. At the University of Alcalá, our Program Coordinator is housed in the Facultad de Documentación (School of Documentation). There students will find resources to assist them with both academic and personal concerns. Program Dates Please keep in mind that the program follows the academic calendar of the University of Alcalá. Although students participating in the fall will be able to return in time to begin their spring semester in the States, the return date in the spring will vary depending on each student's exam schedule. The following dates should be considered when making your plans.
