Summer Flute Institute: July 29 - August 4, 2012

Director Jan Vinci founded the Skidmore Flute Institute in 1994 with the goal of guiding and encouraging students to tap into their innate talents, enabling them to play their best, expand their abilities, and better appreciate various performance styles and music of all periods. The program prepares flutists to tackle the physical and mental challenges of performance, resulting in heightened confidence and self-esteem. Participants will leave the Institute with a stronger grasp of research sources and enhanced knowledge that will springboard them to greater levels of performance and a deeper understanding of music and the gifts it bestows.
