Survey of Liberal Studies for Mature Learners
Tuesdays and Thursdays
October 2 - November 15, 2012
For over 30 years, this liberal studies lecture series has been offered to mature students, age 55 and older, from the local region. Skidmore College Faculty members will deliver a lively array of presentations on topics and themes that change weekly and cover a variety of disciplines during the seven-week program.
Participants have the choice to register for classes one day a week, Tuesday or Thursday. Three lectures will be offered each day, and all classes will be held in Gannett Auditorium in Palamountain Hall. The cost to participants with an annual income of $21,500 or more is $245. Scholarships are available to those with an annual income of less than $21,500. Morning coffee, lunch in the College's Dining Hall, courtesy bus service, and a final reception are also included in the cost of the program.
Registration is limited to 175 participants each day. Registrations will be processed on a first-come/first-serve basis. A final class schedule for 2012 will be available shortly.
If you are on the mailing list registration materials will be mailed late August / early September. If you would like to be included on the mailing list use our
