  • 7:30 p.m. - Institute faculty concert

Monday – Friday, July 28 - August 1, 2008

  • 8:30 a.m. - lecture on performance, music education, or music profession
  • 9:10 a.m. - master class
  • 11 a.m. - flute ensemble coaching
  • 12:30 p.m. - lunch 
  • 1:30 p.m. - master class
  • 3:15 p.m. - private lessons / practice
  • 5:30 p.m. - dinner

Saturday, August 2, 2008

  • Breakfast and tour of historic Saratoga Race Course (optional)
  • 11 a.m.- Flute Institute Participant Ensemble Concert (reception following)

Evenings, July 27 - August 2, 2008

Throughout the week, there will be three participant recitals (on and off campus), an evening master class open to flutists from the local area, and a trip to Tanglewood to attend a Boston Symphony Orchestra performance of works by Ravel, Chausson, Saint-Saëns and Mussorgsky, with Peter Oundjian, conductor and Joshua Bell, violin.
