How to send applications

By E-Mail with Credit Card Payments Only
(preferred application procedure)

Send--as attachments--completed Application Document 2008 Application and the material requested below via e-mail to: rboyers@skidmore.edu. Include Visa or MasterCard information, only, and expiration date for $40 payment of application fee.

By Mail

Print out 2008 Application (PDF), complete form and mail it with the material requested below and the $40 application fee, (credit card or check or money order payable to Skidmore College), to:

Students in fiction writing
Send a brief letter indicating any relevant information (previous workshop experience, special interests, publications) along with a 5–20 page sample of fiction.

Students in poetry writing
Send a brief letter indicating any relevant information (previous workshop experience, degrees, special interests, publications) along with two or three poems.

Students in nonfiction prose
Send a brief letter indicating any relevant experience (work on newspapers or magazines, workshops, degrees, special interests) along with a 5–20 page sample of prose.

DEADLINE FOR APPLYING:
Admission is rolling.  There is no deadline.  However, once the workshops are filled, they are closed out.   A waiting list is maintained.  Should there be cancellations, spaces will be filled with applicants from the waiting list.  There are approximately 16 students per workshop.

In accordance with U.S. Federal regulations, all non-U.S. citizens must have a student visa to study in the United States. If you are an international student please click here.
