Although whiteboards are supplanting blackboards and large video screens have taken the place of the overhead projector, the traditional classroom environment is still alive and well. Even so, lots of learning happens outside the lecture hall. From microscopy to astronomy, from a theatrical lighting booth to a geology field trip, from a discussion on Case Green to study in a foreign country, a "classroom" can be just about anywhere. These photos of laboratories and studios show just a small sample of the specialty learning environments at Skidmore.
