Science Classrooms

Textbooks and lectures are an integral part of any science curriculum, but laboratories and other science-related facilities are where the rubber meets the road. Whether exploring the geologic record in a mountainside or the inner workings of a cell, x-ray emissions from distant galaxies or the behavior of subatomic particles, students rely on specialized equipment and the guidance of faculty and assistants to use it effectively and safely. Here's a small sampling of a day in the Skidmore labs.
