Class of 2012 arrives
Posted: 08/31/2008Members of the first-year class always arrive first, preparing for their new lives at Skidmore with several days of pre-orientation and orientation. As usual, about half of the incoming class this year participated in pre-orientation. Many went up to the Adirondacks for whitewater rafting, hiking, and canoeing. Others stayed on campus, exploring the Tang Museum and the local community through digital technology, working on the semester's first issue of the Skidmore News, or challenging both sides of the brain through dance, music, painting, outdoor exploration, and writing. However one makes one's entry to Skidmore life, it's a time for unpacking, becoming familiar with new surroundings, and making new friends.
