Organizations and Awards

Students who achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in psychology (in at least 4 courses) and a grade point average of 3.3 or higher in all college courses are eligible for induction into Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology. Seniors are eligible for departmental honors if they graduate with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in psychology, 3.0 or higher overall, and complete either the PS375-PS376 sequence or PS378.

In addition to Psi Chi and departmental honors, the department annually confers awards on a small number of students. The prizes and recent recipients are seen below:

The Amy Eisenberg '72 Memorial Award
(established by Mr. and Mrs. Stanford E. Eisenberg in memory of daughter, Amy Eisenberg '72, and awarded to a junior or senior who submits a proposal for research in Educational Psychology)
