WHY STUDY RELIGION ABROAD?

Take the opportunity to explore religion and its real world implications outside of the classroom.   Develop your expertise in interpreting the plurality of religions in their historical settings and appreciate the influence religion bears in shaping culture and society.  Engage in study of rituals and spiritual practices of the world's major religions, and explore cross-cultural issues such as identity, human rights, peace and reconciliation, and world citizenship.  Your advisor will be happy to discuss your options with you. Contact The Office of Off-Campus Study & Exchange at: http://www.skidmore.edu/ocse/ for additional information regarding application instructions.  To view photos of religion major/minor students that have studied abroad click on a specific country in the upper right-hand corner.
