Howe-Rounds Halls are one of four North Quad areas. Although Howe Hall and Rounds Hall are two separate buildings, they are physical connected, and are commonly refered to as one hall: Howe-Rounds.
History
Howe-Round were built in the 1960s, and are named after college trustees Leslie Rounds and Dr. Will Howe. (Make No Small Plans 328).
Dr. Will Howe, who served as a trustee from 1924 to 1946 and assumed the role of interim president following the death of President Keyes in 1925. He chaired the board from 1934 until his death in 1946. Dr. Howe was also a gifted writer and editor of many literary anthologies.
Leslie R. Rounds served as a College trustee from 1935 to 1960, and chaired the board of trustees from 1947 to 1960. Upon his resignation as chairman, the board expressed its appreciation: "His responsible leadership, expressed in quiet determination and experienced wisdom, was the support and recourse of two presidents; with them he shared in the direction of the College toward growth in both size and excellence."
Location
Howe Hall is #17 and Rounds Hall is #29 on the 3D campus map.
Bike Storage
Residents may store their bikes in front of Howe Hall. The Office of Residential Life and Skidmore College assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen bikes.
Computer Lab
A computer lab with printer is located on the first floor of the breezway of Howe-Round. Howe-Rounds in the only residence hall with a computer lab.
Kitchen
Each floor of Howe Hall and Rounds Halls has a kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator.
Laundry
There are washers and dryers located in the first floor of Howe Hall. These machines use the Skidmore ID card as a method of payment.
Lounges
Each floor shares common lounge spaces. The first floor Howe lounge features a full size Pool Table and a big screen TV with DVD player.

Rooms are furnished with the follow items upon move in:

- Twin extra long bed
- Padded window seat
- Cable Modem with cable and internet connections
- Window Seat
- Closet (or Dresser for Triple rooms)

Staff

Trash and Recycling
Trash rooms are located on each floor. Recycling bins are located in the kitchens of each floors.
Vending
Vending machines selling snacks and beverages are located on the first floor of Howe and the breezeway of Rounds. Machines accept both cash and Skidmore ID.
