This is a unique opportunity for creative alumni to present their artwork to the Skidmore community. Participants are selected from celebrating reunion classes, and the show is curated by several alumni artists. The show is open to hobbyists and professional artists alike in the Payne Presentation Room in the Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery:
Thursday, May 29 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Friday, May 30 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday, May 31 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday, June 1 10 a.m. - noon
Opening Reception
Friday, May 30 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
The final number of accepted pieces will be decided based on available space and at the discretion of the curators.
Please submit slides or photographs (clearly labeled) with the registration form by March 12, 2008.
JPEGs may be submitted to mmercier@skidmore.edu Slides and photographs will be returned to exhibitors if a self-addressed envelope is enclosed with the registration form.
You may include original works in any medium. All artwork should be ready to hang. Size is not an issue but please contact the curators for paintings over four feet or heavy work requiring special installation. Such exhibitors may be limited to one piece. All glazed works must be framed under plexiglass will be provided during the exhibition but not during transit.
Once you receive notification of accepted works, you should make arrangements to ship or hand deliver your artwork to arrive by Monday, May 19, 2008, at the Office of Alumni Affairs and College Events, located in the Colton Alumni Welcome Center on North Broadway across from the main entrance to campus.
Pick up your artwork on Sunday, June 1, 2008, between 10a.m. and 2 p.m. All exhibitors must pick up their work and pack it for shipping or arrange for a professional carrier. Staff will be on hand to assist you. Please note: Staff cannot pack or ship artwork for you.
