Dear Classmates,
I attended my first reunion five years ago and enjoyed every minute! I am sorry it took me 25 years; not only was it great to see the campus and Saratoga flourishing but it was wonderful to connect with many individuals from an important part of my past. Many friendships were rekindled. I think we all had our smiles "frozen" to our faces that weekend; we were so pleased to be together.
This year we celebrate our 30th Reunion on May 29 – June 1. The Reunion Committee is working hard to put together an interesting and fun program of events for all of us. Sights and sounds are being arranged to make this a memorable weekend and I hope you will mark it on your calendar to attend.
One of the special gifts that you will receive during reunion is the Class History book – a compilation of news on your classmates including memories of Skidmore years and an update of their whereabouts and doings. It's a fascinating, commendable journal and another way to reacquaint with your former classmates.
If you haven't already submitted the class history questionnaire we sent you via snail mail, fear not. Just click on the class history icon to your left. A word for windows document will open. Save as "yourname.doc" onto your desktop, complete, and then email as an attachment to me at masmc1018@yahoo.com.
We would greatly appreciate it if you submitted the completed form before March 1, 2008. Thank you for taking the time to make this reunion a special one! If you have any questions , please feel free to contact me at: masmc1018@yahoo.com
Warm regards,
Alexis

Dear Class of 1978,
Thirty years ago, we were enjoying our last year of College, listening to Stayin’ Alive and YMCA on the radio, sending letters home with a .13 stamp and retyping entire term papers in order to rearrange the paragraphs or make small editorial changes. Jimmy Carter was President, Nelson Mandella was in prison on Robben Island and the hit TV shows were Mork and Mindy, Dallas and Fantasy Island. We were tethered to the end of a phone which was located in a dark closet and used by many. But, like many of today's kids, we wore madras and wide-wale corduroys pants, Lacoste shirts, knit wrap-dresses and Pulitzer and Pucci-esque patterns—we were certainly ahead of our time!
Now we’re in our fifties and many things have changed, but we still have those Skidmore memories in common. We’re hoping you will join us in Saratoga Springs for our thirtieth reunion which takes place May 29- June 1, 2008. We plan on starting things off with an informal gathering at the Tin and Lint, a downtown favorite of our class.
Skidmore has remained the same in many ways but like us and like the world we live in, has gone through some exciting changes, as well. (Tang Museum, renovated Dining Hall, new apartment –style dorms). While we had had a lot of fun at Skidmore, we also made some good friends and received a strong liberal arts education. Looking at the updated class list, it is clear that many of our classmates have stayed with their passions which they were discovering as young students at Skidmore while others have discovered and cultivated new interests.
Feel free to email any of us with ideas, comments, updated contact information or
anything else we can help you with. Please let us know how this reunion can work
for you, or what you'd like to see incorporated into the weekend.
We’d love your thoughts.
