Reconfiguration Proposal
In January 2000 the College's Curriculum Committee approved the Sociology program's proposal to reconfigure its curriculum. Enriching and adding depth to students' study of sociology, reconfiguration involves expansion of selected courses from 3 to 4 credit hours and some changes in major requirements. Most sociology courses expanding to 4 credit hours now include additional "Explorations in Sociology" via research, collaborative learning, service learning, or writing. The new, reconfigured sociology curriculum will be introduced beginning in the Fall 2000 semester.
