On The Road - May 27
Last night in Hluhluwe (that’s Shlooshlooee) we held a seminar to discuss and process our experiences at Edendale. Our Skidmore students shared their impressions of and their experiences with the elementary children, teachers and host families.
We were up early today and on our way to Ezifundeni High School, a rural Zulu high school. We then took a swim in the Indian Ocean and ended the day taking a relaxing boat ride on the St. Lucia, where we saw dozens of the 800 resident hippos.
Tomorrow we will be on the road traveling back to Pretoria. The days are long and we are packing a lot into each day, but we figure we can sleep when we get back home.
