South African group conference Karen Brackett, Jan Porter, Mary Wright, Dana Tarnoff '07, Shauna Covell '07, Steve Mazza '07, Anne Gaynor '07, Alli Feigen '07, Rachel Gordon '06, Lauren Sheehy '06, Tina Ahmadinejad '06 and Sarah Hoffman '07 presented a poster exhibit of work from the 2005 South Africa journey including oral history research for the Association of Childhood Education International conference in San Antonio, April 12-16-2006.

Karen Brackett presented an exhibit titles "Oral History Research Across Ethnic Groups in South Africa" at the Council of Child Development Laboratory Administrators Retreat for the Council of Child Development Laboratory Administrators Retreat at Little Compton, Rhode Island, October 2005.

Karen Brackett, Amy Steele, Stephanie Dennington '04, Erika Sexton '05 and Kim Taylor '04 presented a three-day exhibit at the National Association for the Education of Young Children Conference in Chicago in November 2003 in Chicago.

Karen Brackett and Susan Lehr presented research of an oral history study across ethnic groups focusing on apartheid and post-apartheid eras and a study looking at reading, as well as writing practice across different grade levels during an education study program to South Africa at the Association for Childhood Education International Conference in San Diego, California in 2002.
