Merit Awards
Filene Music Scholarships are awarded each year through a performance competition coordinated by Skidmore’s Department of Music. This scholarship is awarded without regard to financial need. The Filene Scholarship carries with it a four-year scholarship totaling $40,000 (10,000 per year). Click on link for additional information.
Porter Presidential Scholarships in Science and MathematicsPorter Presidential Scholarships in Science and Mathematics are awarded on the basis of superior accomplishment and exceptional promise, without regard to financial need. Each Porter Scholar is awarded a $40,000 scholarship ($10,000 per year). Click on link for additional information.
Scholars in Science and Mathematics (S3M)
The Skidmore Scholars in Science and Mathematics (S3M) program will provide two-year scholarships of $10,000 annually to eight students. These will result in financial-aid packages with no loan component in the first two years and reduced loans in years three and four. S3M scholars will be selected from financially needy but academically competitive students with a demonstrated interest in science and/or mathematics. Click on link for additional information.
