Returning Student Employment

The Student Employment Program at Skidmore College is designed to offer a variety of work opportunities for our students. Students perform a myriad of duties vital to our success. The work experience is intended to be a learning experience and an opportunity to financially supplement a student’s academic career.

If you have applied for and been offered financial aid, your financial aid award letter may offer you an opportunity to earn money at a work-study job. Students are not required to work if they do not wish to do so. However, the College will not replace the unearned work-study funds with grant aid.

As a returning student you are not placed in a particular area for your employment. Instead you will search for your own job by reviewing the Student Employment Opportunities website. Each position will include a description of the job and its requirements along with contact information. Once you have identified a few places where you would like to work, make contact with the name on the job description and set up an appointment for an interview.
