Helping Skidmore students create greener habits--one environmental action at a time.
Sustainable Skidmore's student Eco-Rep program is designed to increase environmental awareness and inspire behavior change through programming and educational initiatives in the residence halls. Eco-Reps will offer information on environmental topics, serve as a sounding board for environmental concerns in the residence halls and offer activities surrounding sustainability. There are 10 Eco-Rep positions for each academic year and each Eco-Rep will be pre-housed in the residence hall where they will be working.
Topics for the fall semester Eco-Rep program include: waste reduction and recycling, climate change and energy conservation. Eco-Reps will have training before the start of the academic year and will meet biweekly throughout the semester to learn about selected topics and to discuss and plan activities for the residence halls.
