Riley Neugebauer joined Skidmore as the Campus Sustainability Coordinator on November 8, 2010. Riley completed her Bachelor of Arts at Allegheny College, with a major in Environmental Studies and a minor in Women's Studies; while enrolled at Allegheny College, she was selected as an AmeriCorps Bonner Leader. She also completed a one-year certificate program in renewable energy at San Juan College.
Riley has a broad background in sustainability work, having served previously at American University as the Sustainability Coordinator; as a consultant in sustainability to Allegheny College after her graduation from the college; as a research analyst in renewable energy options and energy efficiency; and as a founder of a youth coalition in Colorado. Riley has significant experience in working with student groups, and her community service (in a number of different communities) is extensive. She has also worked as an intern on a small farm. She currently serves on the Advisory Council of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).
