Steve Cohen, who transferred to Skidmore College from Colgate University, graduated in 1972 with a major in government. He went on to study and work in journalism and law before switching in the 1980s to the field of investing.
Cohen ran his own hedge fund, was a partner in the firm Kellner DiLeo Cohen & Co., and now advises clients on hedge fund trading through his consulting firm, Maple Hill Advisors LLC. He serves on the investment committee of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Hospital System and on the board of its research entity.
He recently completed a term on the Awards Committee of Skidmore’s Alumni Association. His son Daniel is a senior at Skidmore majoring in government.
